Dell PowerVault DL2100 Backup Server Enterprise

Dell launched the PowerVault DL2100 powered by Symantec Backup Exec for small and medium enterprises. Two versions are available, the value series is an Intel Xeon E5520 2.26 GHz processor 6 GB of RAM and two 250 GB hard drive 720ROM during the Performance Optimized Model E5520 Dual Pack, 24 GB RAM and up to 2TB of storage.

They have a slim optical drive and a few PCI slots for expansion. Tape expansion is also available. It is the only integrated backup-to-disk solution from Dell and Symantec, and also the industry’s first and only integrated solution for faster disk-based backups and restores, with the start protecting your data in just 18 minutes.

According to the Dell PowerVault DL2100 provides up to 55% faster disk-based backup and 49% faster recoveries than backup with tape. It starts at under $ 8600
